La Croix Gites suited us perfectly. The space has been such fun for the children to explore and they’ve felt so safe and happy here. There’s so much to do on site that leaving barely felt necessary, but we’ve also had a great time at Guerlie Plage, on the velo-rail and visiting the enormous Piegut market. We shall be back.

We’ve had a wonderful family gathering for a 60th birthday. We rarely get all 20 of us together and being able to do so in this beautiful setting has been fabulous. The pool and inflatables have been fun and so convenient for the young families. We haven’t explored too far as I think we all needed a rest, but the lake, beach, pedaloes and restaurant for pizza made for fun mornings and lunches out before the heat got to us (high 30s!). Thanks to Paula and Richard for making us welcome.

Another lovely holiday at La Croix – Thank you!
Despite the heatwave (35ᴼC++!!) and the pandemic we’ve had a wonderful time – Lots of fresh air, time in the lakes + pool and of course great company – as always.
The Adventure Parc was great fun – and cool in the shady trees, Roman ruins of Cassinomagus at Chassenon are fascinating, lakes great fun for swimming, kayaking and supping.
Wonderful restaurant at Piegut-Pluviers.
Had a lovely time swimming at the lake and messing around on the inflatables! Thank you.

Wednesday morning market at Piegut-Pluviers was really good. Kayaking at Exideuil was exciting as some of us capsized in the rapids! The inflatable at the lakes was very entertaining and especially good as it is free! The tree climbing was excellent fun. Looking forward to our next stay here, hopefully next summer.

Another fabulous trip here. This time tried the lake activities and horse riding. We couldn’t get the kids out of the lake; canoeing, windsurfing, paddle boarding. Such good fun for all ages and Andy and Felix (Base Nautique sailing club) are great teachers.

We enjoyed our stay enormously. The gite was comfortable, the facilities such as the swimming pool and jacuzzi were outstanding, and lots to discover in the surroundings. Thank you for arranging the horseback riding, it was lovely!

We loved our stay with you this year and feel like we know the area so well now. F is talking non-stop about going to the pool with his friends – he had a blast. Just a shame we cannot do our jobs from France! It certainly feels like home from home.

New adventures this year have included climbing and the zip wire at the Adventure Park and camping in the garden. The atmosphere here is idyllic and the relationships between the families in all the gites that has developed this week have been great.
