There is a small, privately owned chocolatier in Trois Palis, just outside Angouleme, Poitou-Charentes. One of the staff will take you on a guided tour to show how all the different types of chocolate, nougat and sugar-based confectionery is made. Sampling is encouraged! There is a short video to supplement the tour. Great chocolate! There is a shop adjacent to the factory where you can buy goodies to take away.
